Religion for my neurodivergent brain, it's not just a coping mechanism or "just a belief", for me, religion is such a stupid topic that whenever I'm debating someone about it, I can't believe that such a person can be smart when they say that an all-knowing, all-powerful invisible spirit is real?

Whenever you’re directly quoting something from the Bible, their argument was, and will always be, “well, just look at the context!” And fuck, even if I look in the context, it doesn’t change anything, anything at all. It was bad, and it didn’t suddenly become good. And then when u say something as simple as “Wearing clothing with mixed fiber isn’t good,” then wow, “IT’S JUST THE OLD VERSION YOU STUPID MORON” And well, if someone is rejecting direct facts and quotes, how can they even change their mind about religion?

Is that really a coping mechanism? It seems like people want to believe in something that could really benefit them in hating LGBT, hating Atheists, hating other stuff that normal people won’t. They’re going to put a cross emoji in their bio or their fav. verse e.g 1 Corinthians 13:4 ( 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ) and after that, they’re going to say racial slurs, death threats, and just everything possible.

Sorry for this shitpost
